Long time, no anything.
I was going through my stuff today. I found some rosewood salvaged by Frank Haselbacher from the old Grand Central Station during a renovation in the 1970’s.
I’m mailing it to you so that you can find a use for it.
I never saw this email until now. My website did not notify me about it.
I got the wood, and did not know what sparked you to send it. How about bridges for the guitars?
Have a future son-in-law who is developing a potential interest in guitar making. An MIT grad like yourself, this may be his next adventure. Do you give lessons and how are they arranged?
Dear Carla Destramps,
Sorry to not contact you sooner. My WordPress website has decided to not tell me when messages arrive. I am mostly doing private lessons now. There is not sufficient interest to hold regular classes at the moment. My rates are $25 per hour with a discount for 1/2 and full days. I do have serious interest in lutherie for this spring, so classes could be possible. Feel free to call for more info. I am in Groton MA now, after 5 weeks in FL. Please feel free to call 978-448-9663.
My email is: thomasknatt@ yahoo.com.
After all these years, I’m in good health and still at it at age 78!
Here is a link to my new website with lots of videos of my guitars being played, as well as a bunch of videos of my wood testing and voicing processes:
Good to hear from you! My email is: email@example.com I am experimenting with severely domed tops and backs. I’ll check out the website.
